Kalsec is opening a new warehouse in the Netherlands. The new facility will enhance supply of products to customers across continental Europe, providing a smooth transition through Brexit and growth opportunities beyond.
Increase in Localized Support
Located in the municipality of Waalwijk near the town of s’Hertogenbosch, the new 800 square meter warehouse provides Kalsec with both ambient and cold storage facilities. With convenient transport links from the port of Rotterdam to the rest of continental Europe, the new warehouse will provide increased localized support to customers on the continent.
“2020 has marked 25 years of local Kalsec support in Europe,” said James Smith, Managing Director of Kalsec Europe. “We are excited to open this new warehouse in continental Europe to better serve our loyal European customers and grow our operations.” The new warehouse will enable smoother logistics to continental Europe-based customers and mitigate any potential disruption in international business due to Brexit.
Ensure Consistent Supply Through Brexit
“In the short term this new facility will ensure our customers have a consistent supply of products through the Brexit transition in 2021,” said Ian Marrington, European Director of Operations. “Longer term we look forward to the new opportunities our expanded facilities will support, as well as development plans for our existing site in Mildenhall, UK.”
In addition to the new facility, Kalsec continues to support customers through its offices, warehouse, and technical support site in Mildenhall, Suffolk, UK.
