This year’s report emphasizes tangible outcomes, demonstrating how Kalsec continues to translate its sustainability commitments into meaningful impact across its global operations.
Kalsec made significant strides in environmental responsibility, achieving a 19% reduction in Scope 1 and 2 greenhouse gas emissions and improving emissions intensity by 26% compared to its 2022 baseline. The company also increased its renewable electricity use to 21.01%, including the adoption of wind power at its European operations. These efforts are complemented by continued progress in sustainable sourcing, with Farm Sustainability Assessment (FSA) Silver verification achieved across key crops and regions, and a 90% waste diversion rate maintained through recycling initiatives for plastic, glass and wastewater.
In addition to environmental progress, Kalsec continues to prioritize the safety, wellbeing, and inclusion of its employees. The company achieved a Total Recordable Injury Rate of 1.0, with zero recordable injuries in Europe and Asia, reflecting its strong commitment to workplace safety. Kalsec also strengthened inclusion through employee resource group (ERG) engagement and global participation initiatives, fostering a culture where employees feel connected and supported.
Investment in people and communities remains a key focus.
