Kalsec was awarded an EcoVadis Gold Medal in a recent assessment and ranks in the top 5% among our peers in the industry.
“We’re really proud of how hard our team worked to grow from a silver to gold sustainability rating, especially in the area of sustainable procurement,” said Catherine Roue, Senior Manager of Responsible Sourcing, Kalsec. “We created a new sustainable sourcing policy and supplier code of conduct to help us better assess the sustainability of our suppliers and hold them accountable for sustainable practices.”
This progress reflects the continuous efforts to strengthen our commitment as a responsible company and ensure these values are shared by suppliers in Kalsec’s supply chains worldwide. “One of our fundamental beliefs at Kalsec is giving back to the communities in which we operate, whether that is in Kalamazoo, Morocco, China, Mexico or the United Kingdom,” said Martha Todd, Chairman of the Board of Directors. “Assuring that those in our supply chain share this value is essential, and our gold status with EcoVadis is a testament to our dedication in this area.”
EcoVadis Gold Medal Assessment
The EcoVadis assessment is used worldwide by more than 50,000 companies. It evaluates a company’s practices and performance in the categories of environment, labor and human rights, ethics, and sustainable procurement, while providing tools and insights to help the company improve in specific areas.
“Responsible sourcing is key to our success as a B Corp, and EcoVadis provides a framework to guide us when prioritizing our sustainability efforts,” said Martha Todd. “Their rigorous and demanding process for gold standard certification ensures our customers that our efforts are significant, that sustainability is part of who we are and not just a marketing tool.”
We rely on our suppliers, all over the world, to work with us and match our commitment towards customers for top quality products, while living our Social Responsibility goals. Read more about our responsible sourcing efforts here:
