Palette of Hues

We use paprika, annatto, turmeric, and carotenoids such as carrot and beta-carotene, as well as blends of these pigments, to create our yellow to orange hues. They help to make a curry look authentic or cheddar appear aged to perfection. Select products are also available with Durabrite technology.

Vegetable juices such as beet, black carrot, purple sweet potato, and red radish, plus tomato and carmine, are our sources for pink to red to purple hues. Blends of these pigments are also available, as well as high-stability Durabrite versions. 

Spirulina is used to create our range of striking blues. Regulatory approval for spirulina varies by country. 

Our naturally sourced green hues are derived from fescue or spirulina blends, and signal to consumers fresh and bright flavor. Regulatory approval varies by region and application.

We use malt, caramel, or blends of caramel, paprika and carrot to achieve our range of brown hues for applications like savory-looking sauces and meats.
