How Do You Like Your Burger?
Medium? Rare? Plant-based? The options are endless. With new technology for plant-based alternatives to meat, everyone – from vegetarians to flexitarians – is able to enjoy a burger with their favorite toppings. Burgers are becoming one of the most versatile menu options as opportunities for innovation continue to expand.
If you enjoy a meaty burger, do not feel like you are being forgotten in recent trends. According to Nielsen, 94% of burger sales are attributed to meat-based burgers. However, the last year has seen a huge increase in performance for burgers made from meat alternatives. Locally-sourced, natural, organic and/or house-made products helped burgers stand out and appeal to consumers around the world, according to Datassential.
